Painting with oils on absorbent board was a technique favoured by Toulouse L'Autrec. With this medium it is possible to attain the graphic qualities more usually associated with poster work. It is faster to work with and, as a result, far more affordable than a painting worked on a stretched canvas.
In order to protect them from dust, they should be mounted and framed under glass. |
